SZA takes a dip in a pond in her seductive video for “Babylon”. The song is really sexy, but the video really teases us by not being overtly sexual. This gets me excited for a few things, most importantly her album Z that’s set to be released April 8th.
After hearing Kaytranada spin this during his BEMF and Boiler Room sets and replaying low quality recordings of this song I found on the internet, he finally released his edition of AlunaGeorge’s “Kaleidoscope Love”. He slows it down a bit and levels out Aluna’s voice for the track, compared to what he played in his mixes, but this is an overall tight track! You can find him spinning next week at SXSW.
In true Valentines Day fashion, Theophilus London released Lovers Holiday II, which features a cover of a track off of Justin Timberlake’s Deluxe edition of the 20/20 Experience. Theophilus takes a darker, more seductive approach to the song, which works perfectly with the lyrics. This is definitely a track to turn on the bedroom with your boo to keep you warm during these snowy nights.
Following her mixtape CUT 4 ME, Kelela drops a chilling, minimalist track “The High” produced by Gifted & Blessed.
